Unit 2 Section 3: Bloom, SAMR or Flipped?

This session explored the revised version of Blooms Taxonomy, how the emphasis has changed to actions and how technology and digital tools can facilitate learning, this is a really useful infographic listing power verbs associated with each stage. The session also looked at the SAMR model which can be related to Bloom and offers four stages to help teachers add technology into their teaching.  http://www.schrockguide.net/samr.html It also explored the use of flipped learning, something that more teaching staff are starting to explore.

Unit 2 Session 2: the wonders of soundcloud

I feel like I have been missing out, having never saved a recording to SoundCloud, but to be honest, I have never made a recording worthy of sharing. I included SoundCloud, along with Blendspace and Doodle as my 3 new tools, it seems a bit bit cheeky using the two tools included in the assignment, but they were both new to me and ones that I would and will use again. Blendspace seemed really easy to use, with a high reward, I think an easier tool than TedLesson, Doodle is a slightly different admin tool, but one that I felt could be used by both students, to arrange times for group work but also lecturing staff, especially as it works with Outlook Calendars, and of course SoundCloud, once I realised I couldn't upload a recording using the app on my phone or iPad using SoundCloud was easy, in fact the whole process of recording using my phone, emailing and downloading the file was simple....the only issue sticking to 3 Minutes!!

Tech enabled educator week 1

Just attended first online session meeting the rest of the cohort. It seems I have missed most of the induction tasks, oops, so this is my task for this evening. I did learn that there is an adobe connect app, which makes life a lot easier.
