Deonna Purrazzo | Hey!(EW)
#AEW #AEWDynamite #AEWCollisionHey! (EW), 2/11/24“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo gets technical with RJ City while dishing on being an Italia
I love ZSJ for many reasons. But one of the biggest ones is the fact that he just be doing shit that ain’t even a thing.
Like everyone’s always like “oh he’s a highly technical wrestler” or “he knows so many holds” and it’s like okay yeah. He knows some stuff. But then he will just grab body parts and make a big show of moving/gripping/squeezing them and it’s like “WHAT INNOVATION!!!”
But in reality he is just doing the same shit I would do if someone threw me, a person with zero training and even less physical prowess, into a ring and said “go be a technical wrestler.”
Wrestling Is Art Cubism / November 10th, 2013
Ruminating on why I like technical wrestling so much and I think the two big parts of it are... the intimacy and the lower tolerance for failure compared to other kinds of wrestling.
There's resets in technical bouts, but for the most part the fighting is done about as close as you can get to each other. If you've never done grappling yourself then you don't know how much you're in someone else's atmosphere at that proximity. You can hear their breathing, feel their body heat, smell the oily resinous smell of human animal. There's no abstraction, you are very aware that the person you're fighting is the same kind of thing that you are. And crucially, you can feel at all times where the other person is in that space. When I was learning Judo, we would often be told to fight with our eyes shut so we could learn to feel our opponents, how you can pick up on everything they're doing just by how you feel them move against you. I think of tekker feuds like McGuinness and Danielson and genuinely marvel at how they can maintain that animosity that close.
And the other thing is, wrist locks and arm bars and chokes are very very very easy to actually do harm with. The commentators play up how painful they are, but it is Very easy to hyperextend an elbow or dislocate something. When people get them on during grappling, in my experience, people tap out at the first point it starts hurting because the line between pain and damage is very very thin. So seeing people do arm bars/wrist locks/chokes/etc and do them so gracefully and harmlessly and flowing from one to the other feels a lot like watching ballet with chainsaws. It's beautiful, and also jesus christ how do more people not get hurt? It's pure skill. It's not as flashy as many other styles- all of which are also good!- but there's a poetry to it for me that I don't get from other types of wrestling.

WIC Guide : Technical Wrestling.
Hal yang membedakan style ini dengan yang lain adalah, you don't know what's next is going to be (and when is to stop).
Technical Wrestling is a big thing, right?
- Kesabaran. kudu sabar emang.- Imajinasi.
selain nama-nama besar di atas, nama-nama up and coming Technical Wrestlers yang sangat direkomendasikan adalah Kyle O'Reilly, Johnny Gargano, dan Zack Sabre Jr. keep your eyes on them! mereka akan memenuhi ekspektasi anda untuk Technical Wrestling berkualitas. terutama nama terakhir. dia sangat versatile buat seorang Technical Wrestler.
okey guys, kalo anda menikmati artikel ini, jangan ragu untuk datang lagi, dan mungkin tinggalin beberapa patah kata di comment jika anda punya disqus. kalo anda belum menikmati, silahkan tinggalkan saran dan kritik di comment segment jika anda punya disqus. thankyou folks!
