do any of the characters develop nicknames over the course of the story?
Well, I wouldn’t exactly know since the story is still in planning stages but i can imagine characters trying and failing to nickname Minerva “Minnie.”
Elliot calls her “Minnie Mouse” once and then Minerva gets in trouble for making Elliot use up pain pills.
nice. Now about stacey, since i'm on a roll with the whole awful person thing, why is she so awful? is she just one of those people, was she spoiled, what's the deal w/ that
Stacey’s parents are (were) very rich, so yeah she’s pretty spoiled. I don’t think she intends to be as much as she’s so used to having everything she wants that she a) can’t comprehend that other people don’t live the way she does and b) can’t handle it when she doesn’t get her way. She gets put in her place really quickly by the reality of the apocalypse, though. She doesn’t exactly get bratty about how her phone doesn’t work or that she can’t wear makeup but she has trouble adjusting to things like…not being able to choose her meals because they have to eat what they can find. Or not being able to shower regularly. She never really shakes the need to get her way, though.
BTW, Stacey’s particular brand of awfulness is the faux-nice variety, where she cultivates this image of being super sweet but she’s always masking some disdain or similar.
ALIENS! Can you tell us anything about these aliens? What were they trying to accomplish?
I have not put a lot of thought into the aliens right now because they’re mostly a vehicle for the real conflict which is between the human characters. All I’ve really decided is that they’re using the humans they kidnapped for labor and they may be planning to terraform Earth so they can live there or drain its resources for themselves.
i like this dude, he's awful. now how about the pta chick whose name is utterly slipped my mind (also what is the apocalypse dealio anyhow what's the word there is it fallout or zoms or what)
Hahahaha, Elaine Connor. She’s Kyla’s mother, and hoo boy is she a…mother. You know the moms from Dance Moms? She is a bit like that. She made Kyla do Girl Scouts, (which she ended up enjoying,) and ballet, (which she did not.) She’s trying, but she can be very overbearing and horrible to deal with. She also tends to push feminine stuff on Kyla when she’s really not into it.
So the apocalypse is an alien invasion! Basically, to go from city to city, the bus had to cross a long stretch of road with nothing but farms on either side, and while they were in the middle of nowhere the aliens showed up, kidnapped or killed most people, and left the survivors to their devices in the burned out husks of their cities.

Got the guys together, but never got any response from the rest of the... universe’s... gods... I guess that’s an appropriate way to word that at this point?
Also, Riva and company, Elodie, all y’all are still welcome to engage in Thanksgiving activities over here if y’all are available.
Please give a round of applause to my darling mate @autokrates for tagging me this in this darling little activity. Just have to type up 5 things I like about myself and tag some friends to do it too! So... 1. I like how I look. Even if I am a shapeshifting individual who can warp reality, my idea of Self is very much appealing to me and those I like as well. Does flatter me a great deal, even now, when someone says they find me aesthetically pleasing. 2. I like that even despite how I am “terrifyingly” strong to the point of extreme danger, I can still grow and improve! It helps me keep a level head and something to grow towards. Motivation and determination! A wonderful mix. 3. Regardless of race, species, or even existing...all sorts of beings find me attractive. And darn straight I’m attractive. Dunno if this falls under the liking the way I look thing....but! My swirls and golden glow help me to keep looking mystically attractive. 4. I like how creative and clever I was when I created Theatrum. My Tower. My Scuttlers! I love how everything has fitted together perfectly and will continue to grow and become greater with time. Such an idea fills me with fantastical anticipation. 5. I like how much better I am getting with understanding emotions and the complexities of them all fitting together. Sure I can sense them, know them, derive so much from them...but it has been difficult for a lofty individual such as me to still retain my idea of self without absolutely diluting who I am with others. But...I really like how I’m improving with that. Now you know 5 things I like about myself! Hurrah! Now then...to tag 5 people....
