A smile played at Cora’s lips as she made her way down the street, towards the Three Broomsticks. It had been a while since she had found something to look forward to, in brutal honesty. Hanging out with Kat had been some of her best days, but the other girl had a life, too; all Cora had outside of their scattered days out were stacks of research and a ticking clock. This was completely different, though. It had been something of a joke to begin with, inviting Martin to join her for an adventure. Then, just like that, it wasn’t. She genuinely wanted him to come with her, and that left her a little worried. Getting close to people was precisely what she had promised herself she wouldn’t do, yet here she was. Exhaling with a sigh, she tried not to linger on that thought too much. The idea of having a friend in Martin left her smiling to herself, and she wasn’t willing to give that up just yet.
Coming up to the main entrance, she straightened the sleeves of her sweater. Evenings could get a little breezy, so she had worn a grey one over her crop top, matching it to the skirt she had been itching to wear. Her hair was done up in a bun, and she pushed away a few stray strands that had fallen in front of her face. Pulling the door open, she grinned and stepped inside. This was going to be fun, and even if it didn’t go as well as she expected- Cora was glad she had decided to do this.
