Au where Aki fought in the Hard Ages on the Robots side, Was released into the custody of the humans when the war ended. Got shut down and was discovered Years later by Dr. Light, who reset him.
Ooooh, this sounds interesting!
Like, that means poor kid would’ve been a child soldier at the time. He would’ve known what war was and how terrible it was.
Maybe he’d recognize Wood Man if they met? At least he’d have his schematics this time, and a ninja attitude for a little while.
Oh gosh, he wouldn’t be able to go to a normal school, it’d be so awkward when he fought side by side with Principal 100100. (Also, he’d definitely go for hours in Hypno Woman’s office to have his “problems solved”, Glitter Bot style).
Poor kid would have PTSD from the war, would have slight paranoia over war stuff.
His “Aki” form would probably be less colorful, blander to show he doesn’t find comfort after the war ended yet.
He’d know right away Dr. Light knows about him being Mega Man, and would be his secret keeper instead of Suna (he’d advise him when it comes to making decisions if so, like not killing or reducing to bits Robot Masters).
Oh god, the fights with Namagem and Lord Obsidian would be BRUTAL, considering both have war experiences (and one was trained in the war), Aki would leave so much damage.
He’d also be wary of some parts of humanity, but not as far as Fire Man was. Just a bit mistrusting until it’s proven the humans around him are friends.
Man, Suna would find it sooooooooo awkward at first that she now has a new brother (just wait until you meet his twin, Suna), and how he’s not what she expected to have as a sibling.
Aki would find Rush cute, I guess, definitely different from the war drones they’ve had and more of a friend.
Mega Mini would be Aki’s adviser and his second-in-command, sorta. He’d probably still have his humor, but more wary and a bit more insensitive due to the war affecting him.
I guess if he doesn’t go to school with Suna, the only way Peter, Ashley and Bert would know him is if they were friends with Suna or had school reports to make (bit unlikely for the latter two since they’re in Aki’s class in canon and Suna is at least a grade above Aki).
Bert would be a bit naive in Aki’s opinion (and everyone else, probably), but Aki might find his inventions amusing, as long as they can’t be used as weapons.
Peter and Aki… let’s just say Aki wouldn’t like a know-it-all pretending to know everything about how the war was, but he’d appreciate Peter’s efforts in understanding history.
Ashley wouldn’t get involved with Aki too much, but her knowledge, patience and wisdom might make Aki a bit interested in her (which Mega Mini and Suna would obviously tease into making him in love with her).
God, there’s also Chauncey. His dedication with plants, nature and details would make him easy friends with Aki/Mega Man’s war companion, Wood Man. After the whole “war is over” and “now it’s peace” speech is done, Wood Man could talk nature and trees with Chauncey, and he’d recover from his own war trauma earlier thanks to Aki.
Mega Man would also despise Sergeant Night, with how diametrically opposite they are. Aki is a robot, Breaker is a human. One on a side, the other on another, and those were opposite sides in the war. He’d probably be uncomfortable looking at Breaker’s robot arm.
Overall, this would be a less cheerful, more serious (to the point of concern and sometimes comedy) version of Mega Man, and it’d take time for him to adjust to having a normal life with friends, family and no fighting.
