Do auroras affect spirits, ghosts, etc in any way? Does lightning affect them in any way? How about any object or area with an electrical charge?
Absolutely!
Ghosts in particular can use electrical energy to manifest allowing them to interact with the living realm in various ways.
Electric and thermal energies are the most common energy sources that are drawn from. This is why many creatures can feel a room get colder, or see lights flicker among other things when a spirit is active and manifesting. So large sources of electricity or heat give plenty of energy to draw from allowing for a more active ghost.
However as far as nature spirits go certain spirits such as electric spirits can, not only feed from such sources but be able to channel, control, or even create electricity depending on how powerful it is.
Though since we are on the subject of electricity and electronics I will tell you about. some very special types of spirits.
These spirits are known as Technogeists, they specialize in manifesting with electric and computer technology. Technogeists oftentimes use the devices they manifest in as a body and make full use of it's functions. Though they more commonly take over single devices or computers, the more powerful ones are capable of taking over entire networks.
I have amongst my own guard some technogeists who inhabit robotic bodies who's chassis I had custom made for each of them.
