The other day, I saw a baby in a buggy in the London bus, and the mother gave him the ipad to make him stop crying. And to my deadly surprise, the baby, who hadn't even learnt to walk, could operate the ipad!
Technology has made its own achievements and contributions to making people's lives better, but it has also crippled us in many ways and we seem to be ok about it. It goes un-noticed I'd say maybe.
I can virtually snowboard in austria through a friends facebook and virtually visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I don't have to ask a friend to describe her birthday, because I can just go to her facebook page and play her surprise birthday video that her boyfriend posted.
I may never have to ask someone how they're feeling, because their facebook update says - feeling loved / feeling annoyed / blah blah.
The room for a real conversation refuses to exist in todays changing society.
With the growing applications of technology (apps/games/virtual dating, etc) I don't think I would feel the need for a human anymore.
