Day 35 - Too much technology
Back to the online homeschooling today and this has made me think of the new tools that we’ve had to learn, log on to, download, create usernames and passwords for, etc. It was really doing my head in the first few weeks with something new being added every few days, but I think the list has now stabilized. Here is a roundup:
ZOOM - for school, workouts, or church
LearningView - for school, assigning tasks on a daily basis and chatting with classmates
iServ - for school e-mail and chatting
Google Classroom - for English lessons, assigning and submitting work
Spellingframe - for English spelling, Co likes the games in here
Kidblog - still haven’t worked this one out yet. Co is supposed to be using this as a journal
Microsoft Teams - for Thermomix team meetings
Houseparty - for group video chats with friends
I wonder how many of these will still be in high demand after the pandemic.
Optimistic to hear what the lockdown relaxation measures will be. Announcement expected on Thursday.
