@technopathicredhead ;; Valentine's starter with reference to this and this sorta , continuing this
People talk in parties, people talk in music venues, it is part of becoming part of a subculture that you got to know everybody and perhaps he paid a little extra attention to Ruby, pretty pretty Ruby with her interesting eyes. It was easy to reach out, they chatted online a little at first more lately. She is asexual, it's proven difficult to find connection with another soul that would take that boundary as firmly as she did, they spoke more...and more...and it lead to Lestat outright saying she ought to accompany him to this wedding reception he was paid handsomely for on Valentine's Day, that he thought her beautiful and they ought to get to know each other as people, a romantic intention but a return train ticket on the same night and the afternoon after should she feel they were better off returning to a more flirtatious banter than pursuing anything. It was only 45 minutes on the train, he would send a car to pick her up but there was an exit whenever she wished for it.
He praised her dress, he praised her quiet restraint of being present but demure, in a sea of attention seekers her demureness was like a pearl in a sea of lye.
"He is my favourite poet, one of his most famous pieces suits you well." And he would recite it to her as he swayed her on the dance floor. "The Odyssey is an interesting choice. What did you think of it? What is your opinion on Penelope's loyalty contrasted by Odysseus' infidelity?"
continuation of the tale with @technopathicredhead
Since Daniel taught him how to use modern technology, Armand was obsessed with his tablet. He loved his Minecraft sessions, but also trolling other people online or writing hate comments under Lestat’s videos. There was just so much you could do online. And frankly, it was quite a nice distraction from the fact that he was all alone in this world.
But that also meant that when he had problems, Daniel was no longer there to help him. Luckily, he befriended Ruby not too long ago. With growing interest, he closed the book and walked over to her. “That’s really a fascinating power you have there.” Armand admitted. “Then I don’t have to kill the person who took my account away from me.” And he meant it. He would’ve killed the thief.
Armand noticed her instability when she attempted to get up. Without thinking about it, Armand wrapped his arm around her middle to give her some support. “Careful. You should stay seated for a little longer. Unless you want me to carry you over.”
open starter for @technopathicredhead -> Ruby x Adrian
Plot in source: He is a king of a distant land . . . She is the illegitimate princess of a rival kingdom. After her brother attacks his kingdom and steals riches— the king comes to take his revenge. He plans on killing everyone for her brother’s crimes. To save their lives her step mother offers the princess to the king as his bride. Not bothering to tell the king that the illegitimate princess was already arranged to be married to a lord.
“I do need a wife, and I’ve heard good things about your step-daughter’s wit and personality,” King Adrian of Solmara said, his tone thoughtful as he considered the step-mother to Ruby’s offering of Princess Ruby as his bride. In fact, Ruby’s hand in marriage was the true reason he’d peacefully raised their kingdom rather than razing it to the ground and killed the entire royal family out of mercy since they’d have no where else to go.
He knew Princess Ruby was unique - actually intelligent for one, unlike most dull potential brides he’d met as a suitor. She also had intriguing interests, if he wasn’t mistaken, including inventing. She, and her hobbies, intrigued him deeply and he would have burned the kingdom to the ground if it’d made her happy. “My only condition is that she consent freely,” he told her step-mother, folding muscular arms over his chest.
@technopathicredhead // ruby x twyla
Dealing with uptight celebrities wasn't unusual for Twyla, but every once and a while she'd get someone in the makeup and hair chair that was... particular, to be polite about it. Ah, who was Twyla kidding?—that rising actress was a total diva! Her attitude made everyone in the costume department uncomfortable to say the least. Such was Hollywood, however; there was nothing Twyla, or anyone else in the department, could do or say about it because they were simply "the little people."
Once the actress left the costuming trailer, Twyla exchanged a knowing look with her co-worker, friend, Ruby. She approached the redhead and, through gritted teeth, asked, "What the heck was that all about? She was so nice yesterday and now she was all like, 'My curls are all wrong. This outfit's so ugly.' Blah! I'm glad that's over."
Friday came at last. Monica was giddy the whole day and her boss, the world renowned Marsha Claridge. Queen of Fashion and Daimonds, did not understand. But it means Monica worked as she should she did not care.
Twelve o'clock came and Monica felt her phone vibrate. Ruby was here. She took the elevator down to the lobby of the building and it felt pike it took so long. Monica kept adjusting her suit and hair. Nervous. Monica and Ruby had only met in person once before. She hoped nothing had changed.
When she got out of the elevator she went to the waiting area by the front desk. She could not hide her happy grin but knew she had to be professional.
"Ruby? I'm Monica Fitzgerald. I am going to be doing your interview. Follow me. Welcome to Paragon Fashions."

One of the facts of life was that Ruby worked too damn hard. Campbell had Opinions(tm) about that, but he had also learned that it was not okay to decide things for other people. It had happened to him too often to count and no way that Cam would do that to a friend.
But he could do other things, and today he had decided he'd bring her a Good Coffee and a box of emergency snacks in case the had to work late and got hungry. It was all non-perishable stuff that was meant to sate both savoury and sweet cravings.
Without really paying attention to whether she was busy, Cam walzed into her office, coffee in one hand and box in the other. "Ruby, empty out yer desk drawer, I brought ye a care pack- oh." Ruby wasn't alone, maybe he should've knocked first. "Uh- hope I didn' interrupt anythin'?"

“Uh... hot?” Eliza replied, tying her hair up with a rubber band, “How many different kinds of tea can there be? There’s hot and iced.”
