Interesting reflections... from a kid in a video game

So, I just realized something. I spent a majority of my young adult life (before college) on the internet. Thats not to say I was anti-social or anything (though I pretty much was). I did plenty of socializing. On the internet. With adults. On forums and such (usually game specific forums). At a young age, that tends to get you talking and thinking a lot more than the average kid. I learned about things I would normally have been exposed to as a child. Like, visual editing software. I used to be a wicked graphic design artist. Taught myself all sorts of tricks fooling around with a tool, trying to impress these other graphic artists in a Freelancer forum.... Thats not really a bad thing... It was an interesting skill I had. If I went back and got all the resources I had at the time (The renders, and the Photoshop Software, and the brushes, and my saved swatches and effects) I bet I could whip up some pretty epic shit....

I was a pretty good artist, used to have a dA account... still have a few T-Shirts >_<

But I was also exposed to interesting people, of various orientation, ethnicities, educations and backgrounds... I didn't take very much time to be a kid...

I want to visit Tokyo and I want listen to the Third Album of the FLCL soundtrack (which is a continuation of the story, but its all in Japanese and I've never found an English translation)... Thats 2 things I would like to learn Japanese for. If I can find one more reason to learn Japanese, I think I will...

Had a great time. Despite learning one extremely explosive detail about a person i hold dear.... Still had a very good time. Lots of intellectual conversation and nerdgasming....
