So about two months ago Twitter did its thing where it tries to cancel yet another MCYT which it has been doing nonstop since MCYTs got popular. In this case it was a dumb edgy joke Technoblade made when he was 17(? 18?) ("Was Hitler a lesbian?") and to clarify I am not saying this to harass Technoblade but to share my pain. Because Technoblade didn't respond, but he did private hundreds of his old videos, most likely to avoid further drama.
His Skywars Solo playlist, which are the videos where he talks about random things while stabbing people (it's incredibly soothing. Great rewatch potential), is down to 76/166 videos.
You can see from the numbers that he was getting about 2 million views everyday not because of new videos but because people were going back and watching his old videos–the Skywars Solo videos. And you can see that he deleted about 10.5 million views worth of content off his channel (2-10.5=-8.5) in one day, and that's just one day.
This is especially annoying for me because I recently became a Technoblade fan. I missed these videos by less than a month.
Ultimately I think he made the right choice to avoid further drama, but I'm still so mad at Twitter. Cancel culture usually has no effect, especially with MCYTs who get cancelled every other day. Everyone forgets about it a day later. But this time it had the very real effect of losing us about 37.5 days of Technocontent ([(166-76)*10 minutes on average]/24) which is just criminal. I'm sure he made off-color jokes in those videos but I do believe that 1) he's never meant any harm 2) he's learned since then. In conclusion, Twitter sucks.
