my #7 Track of the Year for 2023 is...

i'm actually shocked this wasn't a top 5. all the ingredients are there. but it just goes to show what other tracks are in this list.

look. i know i talk your ear off about the tracks in this list. i try to fluff up their cultural importance, or talk about how they changed the scene in 2023. this track is just. REALLY. FUCKING. GOOD. techroom will always be better than "bigroom techno" or shallow tech or whatever fad sound the trend biters are after. it's cleaner, it uses the template effectively, and it doesn't sound completely derivative. hardwell had a banner 2023, and in the center of the flag is a spinning top.

It has been a very fun year. I'd never thought I could have my hands on so much gadgets in such a short span of time.
