Displayed in Geneva for the world to see, the Techrules Ren is what the Chinese automaker believes is the future. This electric supercar is going for the win, aiming to take down popular and exciting similar vehicles on the market, The exotic machine is set to be available in three configurations – two, four, and six electric motors. A patented diesel-fueled turbine (TREV) charging system will also be part of the package.
According to official sources, the top of the range boasts 1,287 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque thanks to two electric motors at the front and four at the rear. This version will do 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and max out at 320 km/h (199 mph). Incredible, isn’t it? Sure, there are more tamed versions of the Ren that benefit from 858 hp and 1,560 Nm of torque or 429hp & 780 Nm.
Bing that this is an electric vehicle, range issues come to mind. No worries, as this project promises as much as 2,000 km (1,243 miles) on 80 liters of fuel – 200 km (124 miles) with no emissions. Numbers aside, the Techrules Ren doesn’t look half bad – we have Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro to thank for that. The two automotive designers are responsible for the striking modular 3-cockpit look.
The supercar shows off a fighter jet-style canopy, while the cabin benefits from three separate monitoring screens, alongside fine Italian leather, denim fabric, and exposed carbon-fiber section. only 86 units will reach production, hand-built in Italy for a price not yet revealed.
