Audition Effects - Blending layers of sound
So to lend layers of sound, like it you want to add sound effects, speech that are recorded seperately, soundtrack etc.. but you want to to work together.. sometimes you might want to make vocals sounds like they are in a room, or you might want to make them tinny to sound like it on the phone, or you want to put music to sound like its coming from a radio.. or perhaps your trying to balance a really tinny recording with a really bass heavy studio recording here are some effects I am using to try and so this.:
Phone/walkie talkie/intercom/radio etc: Process Effects-->Filters-->FFT Filter
For phone effects, have had luck with "Telephone: Receiver".
For walkie talkie/radio comm effects, "Telephone: Voicemail" or "OnHold 400". For staticy sound, you can overlay it by going to Special-->Distortion.
loudspeaker effects,"OnHold 400" and then overlaying the entire thing with the reverb effect of your choice, depending on how echoey you want the loudspeaker to sound.
Volume equalization: Real-time Effects-->Amplitude-->Dynamics Processing, I prefer to make a custom preset for this, but started by using "Compander" to balance out the levels of speech making it better for overlaying music while making voice/speech sound stronger overall. If you have a tinny microphone, the dynamics processor will usually boost the sound quality.
If you have a condenser microphone or your recording sound through your DSLR when shooting, sometimes it picks up all the little gross sounds your mouth makes, from saliva,, teeth clenching etc. which is nasty.. this is a nice quick fix for little unwanted sounds.
Making the whole thing sound nice: Real-time Effects-->Amplitude-->Multiband Compressor. Definitely mess around with the sliders until you like the sound, but start out by trying the "Broadcast" or "Pop Master" or Raise Vocals presets.
I used this website to get a BPM to find a song that matches a song playing the background of the pre-party video... I couldn't find the original song because its and obscure mix and plus I might have to get permission to use it. So I want to find a song with the same tempo to mix in. So the dancing and moving, toe tapping etc is in rhythm with the song. You can also find music which meets the tempo in several free creative licence music website and search by tempo. One example is the vimeo music store https://vimeo.com/musicstore. So I am hoping to find a good song which matches the rhythm on there.
I would quite like to make something like this for using as a soft diffused light box. I could then diffuse it even further using a fine/thin white cotton material. This would give me a white light similar to daylight. Perhaps I could even make a box around it with black cardboard or blackout material.
