this is a photo from a while back of a tillandsia tectorum ecuador that i bought in santa cruz, ca.

later i’ll be posting about a little experiment that i’m doing to try to find the best way to water this plant! stay tuned :)

Sempervivum tectorum ‘Violaceum’

Em 2018 comprei minhas primeiras suculentas , 3 echeverias- Glauca, Pulidonis e Perle Von Nurnberg e 1 sempervivum tectorum. Foi muito difícil porque deixei elas no vaso pequeno o ano inteiro por conta do começo do inverno e só fui mudar de vaso e substrato na metade para o fim de 2018 o que fez elas crescerem pouco, mas cresceram .

In 2018 I bought my first succulents, 3 echeverias - Glauca, Pulidonis and Perle Von Nurnberg and 1 Sempervivum Tectorum. It was very difficult because I left them in the small pot all year because of the beginning of winter and I only changed the pot and substrate soil in half to the end of 2018 which made them grow little, but grew.

A que mais cresceu em quase 6 meses foi a Pulidonis . Nem parece uma Polidonis pois suas folhas estão muito longas mas a marca dessa echeveria é a ponta vermelha quando exposta ao sol que a minha tem em tom suave .

Pulidonis was the fastest growing in almost 6 months. It does not look like a Polidonis because its leaves are very long but the mark of this echeveria is the red tip when exposed to the sun that mine has in a soft tone.

A segunda com crescimento incrível foi esta Glauca que do dia pra noite cresceu muito mas agora estagnou por causa de suas mudas no tronco. Uma echeveria de grande porte que tem reprodução muito fácil.

The second one with incredible growth was this Glauca that from day to night grew so much but now stagnated because of its babies on the stem. A large echeveria that has very easy propagation.

A PVN (Perle Von Nurnberg) quase estiolou mas conseguiu crescer bastante nesses poucos meses, mas ainda espero mais crescimento. Ainda estou pensando se faço a decapitação ou deixou para o próximo verão.

The PVN (Perle Von Nurnberg) almost estiolated but managed to grow big in those few months, but I still expect more growth. I'm still wondering if I do the decapitation or left it for next summer.

A última é a Sempervivum Tectorum que me deu muito trabalho . No Fim de 2018 deu duas mudas e meu gato muito querido subiu em cima das mudas e despedaçou todas as mudas sobrando somente esta . Agora é ter paciência e esperar a natureza fazer seu trabalho enquanto isso cuido como um bebê desta sempervivum.

The last one is the Sempervivum Tectorum that gave me a lot of work. At the end of 2018 gave two propagations and my beloved cat climbed over the seedlings and shattered all them left over only this one. Now it is to have patience and expect nature to do its work as long as it takes care of as a baby of this sempervivum.

July 24, 2018 - Look at this fluff ball 😍 I'm so proud of the long healthy leaves it is putting out, more light in the summer must be doing the trick.
