That first digit
I remember the first time I got to change the first number in my weight. It's a glorious feeling. You get this sense of accomplishment about how everything is heading in the right direction. It's probably the only time I'll get to change that number as my ultimate goal weight is 225. I don't see myself dropping below 200 just because of my genetics and body structure. That's not the point of this post.
I've been hovering in the same 10-15 pound range for so long that I keep crossing over that 299.9 threshold repeatedly. The milestone seems to have lost its sparkle for me. Instead of a feeling of accomplishment, I get the "how long will it last this time" thoughts in the back of my head.
Not this time. I'm focused. I'm dedicated. I'm going to try harder!
Today's weight: 299.4
Starting Weight: 309
Last Weight: 304.
Almost 10 pounds from where I started, but 5 of that has been since I turned on the motivation jets. No I don’t expect every check in to be like this, but it just shoes that results can happen when you stick with it and don’t get discouraged.
