I kind of want to do a college AU. With lots of soapy drama. But I don't have any real ideas yet. I know which Hogwarts houses I would sort some of the chars in, but tbh the overall fandom is too belligerent for me to post them publically. dnw drama

Collage/Uni/High School AUs are way too addictive to me. THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN.

And yeah, this fandom could really need less drama, and more fanworks. Our giffers are already amazing, and there’s some great fanart and fic out there, but not nearly enough.

I know some people dislike Hogwarts Houses headcanons, and I know that some people will get rather upset whenever they find one they disagree with. Personally for me though, it’s one of my favorite ones to discuss, so if you’d like to, I would love to discuss that at some point. :D Maybe outside of the tag though.

Saw your reply to my little rant, and I just wanted to say oh god yes. I agree so much with what you said. The point where I get creeped out is when I see people in their mid-20s or older who still hold those black/white moral absolutist viewpoints. With the teens I can at least tell myself they might grow out of it, even if it drives me up the wall. But anyone who has lived in this world a while longer should have noticed that things aren't that simple. Btw, are you German? Because of ne?/Danke

Oh absolutely. I mean, I suppose this way of thinking isn’t necessarily limited to tumblr, but as this is the site that I frequent, it’s their special version of it that I see everywhere. Taking up a stance that pretends to be super conscious of social issues, but then ruins some validity by flat out ignoring the opposition’s arguments. To think that everything is either flat out right or wrong is just naïve and flat out pitiful once you reach about a certain age range and still believe that.

Ahaha, no, I’m learning German, tho, and I like sprucing my vocabulary with a little bit of different languages that I know.
