For the 6 sentence ask game: MacGyver was really looking forward to the promised three days off after weeks out of the country, hardly any sleep and nothing that even remotely resembled a decent meal, but obviously not everyone had gotten the memo.
Why had these robbers chosen today to rob the store when all he wanted was to buy some food? At least none of them seemed inclined to hurt anyone, so Mac decided not to engage them, it was less risky to all the other people inside this way.
Just as he had that thought, one of the men decided to haul him up and force him to go sit in the other corner. Apparently he wasn’t moving fast enough for the man, so he felt something hard hit the back of his head and everything started to go black.

Whump trope - I mean, let’s be honest, I’m the angstiest girl you have ever met. You should get inside my head, it is TERRIFYING how much angst is in there! If I have a favorite fictional character, be prepared to pack on the angst!
And since my favorite fictional characters right now are Richard Maxwell, James T. Kirk, Angus MacGyver, Jack Frost, and Ben Solo - they all have either gone through the angst or will go through it. Richard especially.
And tbh, I’m terrible at actually knowing what a trope is (yeah I just googled it...), so in terms of whump, I have a shitty tendency to give my fav characters life-threatening illnesses. The hurt, the comfort, the emotional aspects - is fascinating.
