Poison wasn’t one of Celine’s favourite methods. It was subtle, and highly effective when done well, but she was the sort of woman who liked to get her hands dirty. Still, as she tossed away the heart medication she had swapped out for cyanide, it paid the bills and struck one more person off of the pakhan’s list, so who was she to complain?
She had waited until the official had taken his medication before leaving his office, knowing that it was only a matter of time before he hit the floor. But as she strode out of the building, dusting her hands off, Celine felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise up. The blonde surveyed the area, until she pinpointed the source of the uneasy feeling. Had he seen her? Disposing of the pills? “You know, it’s awfully rude to stare, darling.”
