Run
Breathing heavy, dress torn, and a few thin scratches on her face, Shiloh sprinted as fast as she could through the woods, trying to ignore the shouting voices and the barking dogs behind her. She shouldn't have been surprised that they were after her, she just hadn't expected the guards to react so fast to her muttered words.
See, the redhead girl had good reason to break the law, though she could have gone about it a little more secretly. The young heiress had been raised to speak her mind, though it quite often got her in a lot of trouble.
Her life had been fine, it had been absolutely wonderful up to about two years ago, when she was sixteen. Her kingdom had been overthrown and was taken by the Orihara kingdom. Since they had close trade relationships in the past, they weren't destroyed at first. Instead, they were put on house arrest, and were told that should any one of them try to do anything, they would face immediate punishment.
The young princess hated the way she saw her family being treated, and she couldn't believe that the kingdom that now ruled them was the same one that she would have meetings with when she was younger. She remembered playing with the Prince when she was little at the royal parties, and remembered him being very kind to her, allowing her to win wrestling once.
Surely there was a reason he hadn't talked to his father to help out the kingdoms that they now ruled reclaim power. Surely he couldn't be the same way, or, so she hoped.
As to why she was running, not only had she, a member of the local royal family, but she had openly sworn against the ruling crown, efficiently driving the guards to capture her. Now she was a fairly decently athlete, but the corset binding her torso and the ungodly amount of petticoats she was forced to wear, (much to her distain), slowed her down enough for the guards that had been chasing her to capture her. The guards didn't like any signs of a protest against their royal family, and those who spoke out were to be locked away.
Which is exactly what happened as she was thrown into a dirty cell. She imagined the guards had no idea who they were throwing into a cell, despite the fact that she was wearing rather expensive clothes. Slamming her arm against the bars to get the attention of the nearby guard, she spoke in a rather irritated voice, "I doubt the Orihara family will be too happy to know that you locked up one of the royal members of its society, you know."
