For the ship thing—thoughts on Jelle?

I haven’t gone back to the first 2 seasons of the show in a while, so I don’t remember Elle as much, but I adore Jelle! I think it’s super cute and I love seeing people’s hcs of them. I always saw it as either they slept together at some point before Elle left or JJ had such a huge crush on her and admired her so much.

I know you left the fandom but just wanted to say that I love all of your hayffie fics, I think I started reading them in like 2017 and even though I'm not into HG anymore I still think about them regularly and go back to reread from time to time <3 You've written some of my favourite AUs across any fandom. I'm so thankful for everything you wrote for them, massive massive collective kudos

10. What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?

You're making me choose one of my children?? Oh, goddammit. This is actually kind of difficult since I go through phases. I love working on Do You Suffer Love For Me? because it's stupidly silly. I really enjoy working on What Cannot Be Said Will Be Wept because it's an angst bomb.

I do have a couple others that are unpublished I enjoy working on. I have something called Blind Dates and Soul Mates---affectionately termed my fucking problem child in my head---and something with a working title of If I'm Gonna Be A Mess (I'm A Hot One) that I have enjoyed working on as well.

11. What fic was the most satisfying to finish?

Mother fucking Mistletoe Mishaps. That was so satisfying to be able to just post and be like "fuck it! It's done!" That is the last time I give myself a deadline, for the bit or otherwise. But the fic is really fun and silly. Time loop groundhog day type shit. If you read through it, you can see where I was kind of over it in parts or where my style changes (since I don't write linearly). I also think it was super satisfying to post On Like Donkey Kong since it was the first prompt for my Dani's Drabbles challenge I did in November.

13. what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

Not a writing tip given to me, personally, but Stephen King said "the road to hell is paved with adjectives" and I try to keep that in mind when writing. Unless it's alliterative, then it flies right out the window.

20. Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?

I've thought about this a lot. I don't know that I have a common word or phrase, but I like emotion. I love making who I'm writing about feel three-dimensional, feel real. I want to make that ache exist in your heart because the character feels it so acutely. That's my pattern in writing, I hope.

74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?

Funny story, I'm debating posting a fic anonymously until I can really settle into the idea of it, and I've been wondering this exact thing.

The way I write emotions? The way I write sex? The way I write emotions during sex? Humor, definitely. Probably some degree of angst.

How do you think you'd know it was written by me?

4. Longest period of time it's taken you to write one fic? I have a WIP that's been ongoing for 8 years 🤣 It varies. It seems like when I'm in a flow, the average is about a month, maybe less. But it's very rare that I catch a flow so projects will often times drag out.

6. How do you come up with ideas? Something weird and random hits me. A phrase, a situation, a piece of dialogue I think is hilarious. Colors. A smell. Getting myself into a weird scenario. Fucking tumblr shitposts a lot lately. And my brain goes "wouldn't it be funny if [insert shituation for ship/character]?" It's the most ridiculous and fun thing and I love it so much.

Currently working on: besides actual work? Chapter 3 of both Do You Suffer Love for Me? (Warrior Nun) & What Cannot be Said Will Be Wept (Mass Effect). A part 2 of An Apple a Day Keeps Anyone Away (If You Throw it Hard Enough) (Legend of Korra). Also, possibly a new project for a new fandom.
