1. How did you first get into rapping and making music?
Before I began making music I wanted to be an author. Before that I wanted to be an author I wanted to be a poet. I spent a lot of time in middle school writing poems to girls and shit. One day, I wrote a poem for a girl as a part of like a gift bag type thing I gave it to her and she neglected it and broke up with me the next day. Shit was wack. I wrote my first like real song after that and after hearing my own creation out loud for the first time it was honestly addicting.
2. What’s the hip-hop scene like in Connecticut?
The Hip Hop scene in Connecticut at the moment is sad as fuck but still probably in a better state then it's ever been. Very few people in CT actually care about the artist that are from there and it can be stressful sometimes because there is truly a solid amount of talent out here. There are definitely some key people that have been helping form a solid foundation. Local support is not the best but it has never been too great. My advice for people making music out of a small place or a shitty place is make every possible connection, shut the fuck up with the complaining shit, perfect your craft, and don't settle.
3. What was your process like working on “High Fashion”?
I took a very different approach than usual while making High Fashion. I realized that I was most known for my full length projects and I wanted to make another really good one. While keeping that in mind I thought of ways I could outdo my previous works. I wanted better beats, better lyrics, and to have more fun. Then I proceeded to write some of the realest shit I ever wrote and have a ton of fun while doing that. I went through a ton of shit before this drop it's actually surreal hearing some of the songs because I predicted a lot of my future while writing. It will always be a special project to me because of that. I recorded it all in one session. Surrounded by people that are still very much key to my success and also some niggas that I will most likely never see and or beat the fuck out of if I ever encounter them again.
4. Who are your favorite producers to work with and why?
I love working with my man Blvc Svnd. Our styles complement really well and he has turned into one of my favorite people I have ever met through music. Dude is really talented and I'm pretty sure I'll be working with him for a very long time.
5. What are your goals and plans for Lazy Boy Records?
My Goals and plans for Lazy Boy Records is to bring together some of the best artist in the world and help aspiring artist in my community. It's obviously not where I want it to be exactly at the moment but soon enough.
