(6.7.21) 1) today I took a day of leave from work because I needed a break from class/work/computer/phone. Slept in until 10am before getting up and then making breakfast. Felt great waking up with no set agenda in mind! 2) I lounged around a bit, watched tv, napped before going out to dinner with Jason as it was his birthday today. We went to one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants at #parccentral , visited #timhortons at #teemall before returning home for some delicious cake. We had a great time celebrating his birthday tonight! 3) today was the 1st of 3 days for chinas infamous #高考 or #gaokao where high school seniors take this once-a-year exam to see if they can get into the nation’s best universities. This exam’s score alone determine one’s future, which may seem very stressful & crazy but it’s agreed to be the fairest way to select high talent amongst this populated country.
