True Worship

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of Godʼs mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Godʼs will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬ . . . Worship is not just singing a song. It's not just that time when you're in church and you sing the lyrics and lift your hands. True worship is found in every aspect of your life. True worship is giving your life over to God, trusting that He knows what is best for you. And deciding to live from that point on for Him and Him only. You may mess up, more than likely you will mess up. But when you give yourself over, trust God with your life, that is the truest form of worship you can give Him. Don't be afraid to give it to God. He will handle all of your fears and worries. You are His most precious treasure. He will always take care of you.

Who Are You Seeking Approval From?

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ • I think that one of the toughest battles that we face today (me included) is the struggle between searching for approval in people and receiving it from God. Now I'm not saying that approval from your peers or from people who are meaningful to you is bad. It's not. But when that is all you seek, that's when your priorities may need a little adjusting. When you begin to let what other people say about you dictate what you do, that's when you need to check yourself. Seek God's approval above all else. When you begin to worry less about what people say and more about what God says it's like a weight is taken off of your shoulders. You know that if others aren't pleased with you that it will be ok because God is. He is pleased with you.

He Has Delivered Me

“Be at rest once more o' my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. For you o' Lord have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling. So that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116:7-9 • He has delivered me. I am free from all sin, all doubt, and all my fears. He has set me free, he has broken the chains that held me down. They can't keep me down anymore. I can now walk in His presence, in His love. He will never leave me and He will never forsake me

So amazing to me. House and home. I am living in a house that isn't a home.
