kittens. Fuji talks to Tezuka about kittens. How cute is that??

considering the timeflow of TeniPuri is ?????, we have no idea at what time this is in the story. Just that Tezuka's in Germany and they're in first year Highschool. but among all the regulars, Fuji's the only one shown to be having contact with Tezuka on a real-time basis (I can't be sure, but how OP wrote the comments, it seemed like Oishi texts Tezuka, but Fuji actually calls him)

And it's not just talking about Tennis! They're discussing trivial things like 'hi hunny, how was your day?'

and because it's such trivial things, I think it's safe to assume that's because they call often enough that they don't have to shorten the topics to only important things.

To my opinion, communication through phone calls are way different from text message, when it comes to Tezuka. Because in text messages, there's absolutely no non-verbal communication. For Oishi, this may work better, since it forces Tezuka to be very clear with him and use actual words, preventing Oishi from feeling like he's boring Tezuka.

But Fuji is a genius on picking up the non-verbal signs in Tezuka's voice, even if he just replies with 'hm'ing. It's a lot more relaxing for Tezuka to phonecall and just listen, without being expected to give a thorough reply (like they discussed in the white heat remix). It's alright if Tezuka just listens.

But that doesn't mean Fuji just blabs on about all and nothing, onesidedly. The topic of 'kittens' is something Fuji picked to tell him, being thoughtful to what Tezuka would like. Even though it was a triviality, Fuji knew it was a topic that would interest Tezuka (because Tezu loves animals, it's been scientifically proven). Fuji is really the extrovert who tries hard for his beloved introvert =u=

I'm trying to figure out when exactly Fuji may have called him, considering the 7h time difference. And the most likely time is Friday 1PM-2PM in Japan (Fuji's lunch break) / 6AM-7AM in Germany (Tezuka waking up) he called him while he was with Eiji. Fuji took the time to call Tezuka right when he wakes up, even though he was already hanging out with Eiji at that moment (also, Eiji and Fuji are still besties in highschool. I cry)

I'd like to believe that they call daily, since this phonecall was on a weekday (the BD event was on saturday) but it can also be that Fuji called friday instead of in the weekend, because saturday was to be a busy day for Tezuka. But in either case, Fuji didn't want to skip his chance to talk about kittens with Tezuka.

Today, a new item was added to my TezukaXFuji collection! *U*

it came way earlier then I had expected it to come, so I’m so happy >w<~<3<3<3 they sound so good together!! the Tatoeba Ima song sorta has the same feel as Kokode Bokura wa, but it’s more powerful rather then a lovesong. it gives me the ‘determined to be together’ kind of feeling.

it sorta feels like the ship has come full circle after all the heartbreak of them parting ways. there’s no fear in them or doubt that they will be together, no matter where they are.

I’m a bit disappointed that Yume no Saku Basho is a solo song =\ I hope the CD sells enough that the merch department of PoT realizes they need more songs together =A=!!!

now that I finally have my own copy of Tatoeba Ima, having heard it for the first time, it’s time to analyze the shit out of that song ovo

just focusing on the lyrics, my opinion of the cover’s already noted here but I’d like to add that the cd itself is blue with an airplane on it. blue is usually a given choice for tezufuji. and the airplane comes from tezuka being far far away

right from the start, it’s a very powerful opening. and it’s so intriguing that this line is Tezuka’s! even though he’s the one who took the decision to leave, he describes their being appart as something very painful to him.

たとえばこの誓いが描いた明日を壊しても tatoeba kono chikai ga kaita ashita o kowashite mo Even if this oath breaks tomorrow we imagined,

Fuji’s words here are also very interesting. with ‘oath’, could he mean him swearing to catch up on Tezuka in tennis? then the tomorrow Fuji imagined was the one of him quitting tennis? but in that case, why is Tezuka singing that part along? so it’s mostly likely the oath of Tezuka going pro and the future imagined was of them being together.

on another note, that long ‘mooooo’ is so beautiful. it must be great to sing it in karaoke =A=

譲れない 絶対に yuzurenai zettai ni We won't make any compromises definitely

so the conclusion is that getting hurt and the future changing is worth it. though I don’t think they mean it like ‘tennis is worth, even if we lose each other’, but more like ‘we don’t lose eachother, even if we move forward.’ どこからだろう はじまりの景色を考えていた doko karadarou hajimari no keshiki o kangaete ita Where does it start from? I was thinking about the view of beginning 

I’m not quite sure if this translation fits. to me, it sounds more like ‘when did we start to imagine this scenery?’

this definitely sounds like Tezuka is always thinking of Fuji. which is a fact.

another throwback to Kokode. but the line there was ‘sa hajimeyou?’ and this makes it so much better, cuz here it adds NOW! and TOGETHER!

「逢いたい」と想う人がいる `Aitai' to omou hito ga iru We have someone "we want to meet"

弱さじゃない 強くなる為に yowa-sa janai tsuyoku naru tame ni in order to become stronger It isn't a weakness

in doubt whether they meant to want to meet each other or their future self. But considering this line after, I think it does mean they want to see each other, but it’s not a weakness to think that and it pushes them forward.

たとえば今、ふたりの背負うものが変わっても tatoeba ima, futari no seou mono ga kawatte mo Even if right now what we shoulder changes,

たとえば今、ふたりの道が二つに別れても tatoeba ima, futari no michi ga futatsu ni wakaretemo Even if right now our way splits into two,

the way how they say ‘ima’ here seems to mean ‘for now’, rather then ‘right now’. as in, ‘it’s something temporarily’

離れない 絶対に hanarenai zettai ni We never leave each other

‘Hanarenai’ is such a beautiful world. because it means ‘to leave’, but also ‘to let go’ or ‘to take distance’. Perfect Pair is eternal! 過去を塗り替える為に今を生きている訳じゃない kako o nurikaeru tame ni ima o ikite iru wake janai We never live in the present in order to change the past

so Tezuka’s like ‘we’re gonna move forward’, but also ‘I don’t want anything in the past to change.’

守る勇気と変わる勇気を 君が教えてくれた mamoru yūki to kawaru yūki o kimi ga oshiete kureta You told me the courage to defend and change

this! This is always something I believed to be a big problem to Fuji! he’s very scared of choosing for himself, to excel at something, even if it would hurt others. So Tezuka teaching him this courage is a really big deal! Ah 予感なんてそんな曖昧はいらない Ah yokan nante son'na aimai wa iranai Ah We need no vagueness such as "feeling"

確信だけを 求めて kakushin dake o motomete We've just sought a strong belief

‘yokan’ doesn’t mean ‘feelings’ as in emotions, but more like ‘I have a feeling that’. or ‘premonition’. so it contrasts the ‘definitly’ in ‘kakushin’

「さよなら」を言わなかったのは `sayonara' o iwanakatta no wa We didn't say "goodbye" at that time

自分らしく生きて行く覚悟 jibunrashiku ikite iku kakugo It was a preparedness to live life in our own way 

not saying goodbye was like ‘this isn’t farwell’. but they do seem to plan to go on on their own. which is rather sad. at this point, it does sound like they’ll move on with their lives without the other.
