Do BZT and Ed each only have 1 eye? I figure since BZT, as a robot, technically doesn't have hair and her "Hairdo" is built like that, she may have been built with only one eye. And Ed is a black hole being who looked like they were born with bangs covering one of their eyes. It could be possible they're a cyclops. Or do they each have 2 eyes?

Yes, BZT is pretty much built like that.

Ed has only one eye like all their celestial siblings, but their form is presented in a way where it looks like an eye is covered up (when there really is no eye). This is to create a unity with their white hole sibling. They're kinda yin and yang in a way

I’m really enjoying your series, can’t wait for episode 4! I’m particularly interested to learn more about Ed, because I don’t know why a sentient black hole, even an adorable one, would care about intergalactic alliances. Are they just here for fun, good education, or does this mysterious great threat even endanger cosmic beings?

Ed and the Celestial Entities are definitely a bit of an odd case. The majority of people going to the school, do so to join the Intergalactic Community, which is a way to secure their safety.

A powerful entity like Ed doesn't need any protection however, so the reason they are there at school is one the hand education, but it's also to show others that they are benovelent beings. Because they are so strong, some people are afraid of them. Going to school, is their way of showing they mean no harm, and are a thrustworthy ally
