There weren’t that many options to know for sure, less of all when going for some take-away after a night out drinking.
Making a bit of a show wasn’t stopping him, either: Golem had taken his order and gone home, because the friend who had taken babysitting duty needed to be up at some certain hour in the morning. Sonar and Mal had taken up teaching Phenomaman more card games, and Visi quickly joined them, with Prism and Waterboy as audience. Coupé and Punch-Up were sharing whispers and a burrito by a corner, so that left him and Flambae at the only ones still sitting at their table, for the card players had taken the floor.
So, they weren’t exactly alone, but Robert was positive everyone else’s attention was focused somewhere else. For the time being, at least.
“I’d never imagine you’d end up liking my company that much.” Was the first thing he said after a while in silence, mostly due to having been eating, and those words were received by a scoff.
“Pfft, me neither, Bobert.”
Robert rolled his eyes out of principle more than anything; he was more than used to all the nicknames at that point-- and the fact neither ‘Robbie’ nor a single ‘Bob’ that wasn’t mixed with anything else were ever on the roster was actually something he appreciated. He’d prefer just Robert, but beggars couldn’t be choosers.
And, apart from being used to it, he was growing rather fond of those too-- them and the man who never stopped using those.
That was what had gotten him in his current… not exactly predicament, that wasn’t the word which fit the most, and what prompted him to choose the specific course of action; leaning in closer, Robert pressed a brief kiss to Flambae’s lips.
Yes, to further confirm what he had been suspecting for a while then. And what he got was the following:
“Oh, fuck off.” Right after that, there was yet another scoff, and shortly after it was Flambae the one leaning in instead. “That can’t be the best you’ve got, right?” No, it wasn’t, and Robert was more than happy to make a demonstration.
