ive been sitting on this question for awhile: can ryuko have ear piercings? a piercing gun would be able to give her initial holes, but if she tried to change them would her healing factor close them too quickly?

If we’re talking earlobe piercings, earlobes are just kind of weird. Like, if you split your earlobe in half, it ain’t gonna come back together and heal on its own, but if you get your ears pierced and then don’t wear your earrings a while, the little holes will close up. I guess the size of the “wound” matters, maybe, but I don’t quite get it. Why does that little hole want to close up but a bigger one won’t? Or is it just the earlobe getting totally severed that causes a problem? Would a big hole in the earlobe close up eventually, given that it’s not completely split apart?

I’m obviously not a doctor! 

If I were to tackle the question, I’d say that Ryuko might just have to poke the holes open again every time she wants to change the earrings (a mark where the hole used to be tends to remain, I think (I still have one), but who knows with Ryuko’s healing abilities), but that’d obviously be super annoying. Ryuko might just have to stick to non-pierced earrings ^^;

DEFINITELY Fushimi Inari. First, I had wanted to go there for a while. I love that particular kind of orange red that the Toori gates are and that place is literally ONLY TOORI GATES. It’s so ethereal. 

The best part was that we got there right before they stopped letting people in. And then we started just going through and I had no idea it was a fucking HIKE UP A MOUNTAIN but they just keep going up and up and then there are these pauses in the gates where there are a bunch of shrines. Like, small, old shrines and they’re all just kinda stacked on these little mounds and it’s really cool looking. 

So we get to the top (not the actual top but a high up point) and we see a view of all of Kyoto and by this time, my feet felt like they were about to fall off but the sight was spectacular. And then the sun was setting and we started our trek down and THAT’S WHEN IT GOT REALLY GOOD. Because it was so fucking spooky like walking down this dimly lit trail through these toori gates and it’s pitch black and we’re in the mountains and there’s not that many other people omg. 

I loved it and I will never forget that as long as I live.

random wikis tell me ryuko is 5'3", akko is 5'4", so akko is just bent over weird (also i think the scissor blade looks REALLY small so that doesnt help either)
