I'm baaaaack For a few reasons I cut myself some slack this summer. Took a much longer hiatus than I meant to but I think I needed it and have a lot of things to look forward too and am eager to start. Tbh I've also been enjoying not posting or browsing so much. I love the community here but at the end of the day social media is a passive stressor for me so it's nice to remember that it's ok to step away for a bit. What do you think of this piece? It's rare that I paint anything in one sitting and it was a nice one to get back into. It's got some of my favorite elements--skulls, duality, warm pink, and grey 🤘 . . .

It's so difficult constantly fighting a battle of my heart and mind of the possibility of moving back to Canada. The only thing that even remotely makes me want to move is knowing if have my family there to help me at any time with the girls and be a little less lonely during the day and that's it. It would be crazy to try and uproot our life just for the sake of helping hands but sometimes I wonder how I cope with my severe chronic back pains that are only getting worse and trying to push through the pain for the girls. It's getting so difficult and near impossible but I'll be damned if I'm not going to try and fight this pain.
