Teithor deals with a lot of loss throughout their tale, but the largest and most keen is that of their entire hometown, Kruinbor. (Which is where the series title comes from.) They feel that the massacre was their fault due to who attacked and why, and as ultimately the only survivor they for a long time have a bitter grudge against one of the gods their people revere for not doing anything to save Kruinbor...and for making Teithor its warlock in the aftermath.
