The silence between them changed. It was no longer hostile. It was intense. Claudio lowered his voice, as if the moment demanded caution. "Do you always arm them like this? By hand?" Dragunov nodded, without looking up. "And why roses?" Claudio asked, and this time there was no mockery in his tone. Only genuine curiosity. The soldier paused for a moment. Then, without looking up, he replied: "It makes it more difficult. Every mistake is noticeable." Claudio looked at him, fascinated.

"You live alone," Claudio stated calmly. Dragunov nodded. "You never bring people here." Another slight nod. "But you keep buying more tanks. You arm them. You line them up." Silence. Claudio turned his face slightly toward him, studying his profile. "And you're upset that I saw them." Dragunov finally looked up. His gray eyes pierced him with a mixture of judgment and something harder to name. Claudio met that gaze… but this time, without a smile. "You know what's the strangest thing about all this? Not that a man like you assembles pink tanks. No. It's that you do it with love. And you don't want anyone to notice." Dragunov didn't reply. His expression didn't change. But… something in the air did.

He dragged his gaze over the other man's face. The firm angle of his jaw. The way his black hair fell a little over his forehead, looser now. His skin slightly glowing from the inner heat. He was beautiful. But not in the classical sense. He was beautiful in that way that is earned through inner cracks. Through silence. Through struggle.

He closed his eyes again for a moment, this time not to sleep... but to see him again. to Dragunov. To that man who did not fit into any of his ideas about desire.
