This weekend at Tekko’s masquerade performance, @victor-frankensimp and I were awarded the title of Best Novice Performance for singing The Ballad of Jane Doe as Mami Tomoe and Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica! I am so insanely proud of what we accomplished together, and sharing a stage with the person I love was the most fun I have had in a long time. The two of us rehearsed this choreography for several late nights in the middle of our apartment kitchen. I am intensely critical about my own singing, and while I have a lot of critiques for my own personal performance, I am so grateful that we had this opportunity and I know that we did a great job as a team.
Everyone’s performances were a joy to behold, and I met so many amazing and talented folks! Aside from getting to perform, getting to know the other contestants is my favorite part of the masquerade.
