As its primary description states, the Electric modification adds the properties of electricity to the existing Feature's effects. How powerful the electric properties are not only depends on the user's Potency, but also on the duration of the Technique, longer lasting Techniques having to spread the electric Energy throughout its duration.
When it comes to Instant Techniques or Techniques with a Duration Tier of S, the affected targets must roll a Resistance check on every turn the effects remain active, those failing it becoming Overwhelmed during that round. Surfaces and objects affected become electrified (barring ones made of non-conductive materials), prompting the same Resistance check and consequences on subjects that come in contact with them. Finally, electronics and other items sensitive to electricity suffer severe damage, becoming prone to malfunctions. Such things affected by Instant or Duration Tier S Electric Techniques have a 70% of malfunctioning on every round they are affected, and suffer 1d12 electric damage per turn experiencing electric effects.
Techniques with a Duration Tier of Mn also cause the area or subject affected to become electrified, those affected also having to roll Resistance checks on every turn the effects remain active, but those who fail it instead become Disoriented for that round, while electronic devices have a 50% chance of malfunctioning on every round they are affected and take 1d8 electric damage per turn.
Techniques with all other larger Duration Tiers spread the electric properties too much to cause any significant effects, but at the very least, those with a Duration Tier of H are noticed due to its minor static effects.
When modifying a Technique with an existing Damage Output, the properties of Electric Damage are now added to the existing damage, meaning it is affected by any weaknesses or resistances to such damage.
Self Techniques modified by the Electric modification grant a -4 damage reduction to electric damage, a +5 on Guard, Deflections, and any Saving Throws done to protect from electric effects, and protect the user from becoming Overwhelmed or Stunned due to electricity and electric effects.
Conjurations modified by the Electric modification are very resistant against electricity and electric-based Techniques, granting a +15 bonus on Guard and their Saving Throws against them, and also reducing any electric damage received by 20. Additionally, Damage Output from their attacks or Techniques is also given the properties of Electric Damage.
