four relationship headcanons

now that they both have shaved heads, he buys them both hats. he was just going to buy her things, but it's funnier if he has them as well. they were matching and they might as well continue to match, and if his head is cold then hers is probably cold as well right? except he buys the same hats for himself that he buys for her so he's got like a bright pink bucket hat. there are probably pictures.

he teaches her to play baseball in the woods behind the cabin and they lose the ball so many times he finally tells her she's allowed to bring the ball back with her abilities because really, this is a ridiculous amount of baseballs to lose.

dinners with the byers family, if they're not just straight up living there after season four since no one has a house and why would he ever take her from them. he's never going to take her from them. i simply cannot imagine it. they stay together.

one day he'll take her to new york - despite the host of bad memories there - and they'll both wear hats and be incognito or maybe, at this point, the world is safe for them, and they go to all the tourist places but all of his places as well. the ones he used to go to. the favorite delis and coffee shops and his favorite parks, and he'll show her his old apartment and they'll go to a broadway play or two and he'll take her to a baseball game, and they'll get matching outfits and take so many pictures.

They'd been practicing baseball for weeks now, and unfortunately, when jane hit the ball too far out, it would be lost to the woodsy abyss. She wasn't quite allowed to bring them back beforehand, but upon asking to get them back after yet another time she'd hit a 'home run', as Hopper called it.. this last time seems to have done it, because as soon as Hopper gave the go ahead, about 10-15 baseballs come rolling back in immediately, coming to stay right at her feet. "I think.. I got them all."

it's not like joyce works at the general store anymore. every time he goes back to buy another baseball ( it's every day. it is every single day, he buys a new one every day and pretends they're not going to lose it by nightfall ) they look at him like he's got seven heads on his shoulders.

( last week he said i eat them. i'm eating the baseballs. and walked out with two. )

at a certain point you either run out of baseballs or run the risk of being run out of town for buying too many baseballs. they look at you like you're plotting something.

it's that that finally convinces him to give in. he doesn't want her to think he's ever, ever using her for her abilities. too many people have done that. they've had to do that before. and now that they're not fighting monsters, they shouldn't have to. not in every day life.

but after he'd realized he's not a thirty year old man - he's a fifty year old one with an ankle that was broken several months ago - he realized he couldn't exactly chase after them if he didn't catch them.

and finally, finally he gives in.

he just hadn't realized how many there were.

he stares down at all of them, blinking.

"i think there's an episode of star trek like this."

“where does it hurt?” (hop)

"i'm alright kid," he promises, voice rough. he's leaning up against the wall, eyes closed, but he opens them when he hears her voice. he'd rather prop his eyes open with superglue than worry her. he reaches out his hand to find hers, intertwining their fingers while he searches her face. there's blood on his shirt, and he looks down at it - but it's not spreading quick. he'll be alright.

"i've had worse." he's had a lot worse. this is survivable, just uncomfortable. "grab that emergency bag for your old man, would you?"

“You don’t have to hide it from me, dear.” The seated, behatted nine foot woman says it with a paradoxically polite little snarl. The Lady Dimitrescu’s eyes widen, her dark lips unveil many large teeth. Her tongue is grey, like oxidized meat: corpseflesh. “Be proud: you are, after all, so very monstrous. Not as monstrous or graceful as I, naturally. Do you know who I am?”  Where else would they meet, but the bowels of some facility. No. Her priestess had taken painful extremes to ensure her attendance. This was the location of miracle children, was it not?   “Your doctors have assured me that you are so very gifted. Show me.”

jane hopper  ,  😘 cheek kiss for bige sister.

             carter  cared  more  about  the  people  in  this  pizza  shop  than  anyone  else  in  the  world.  the  byers,  mike,  argyle,  but  especially  jane,  they  had  all  grown  on  her  over  the  few  years  she  had  gotten  to  know  them.  it  seemed  that  everything  was  coming  down  to  one  moment,  one  final  fight,  and  jane  was  once  again  putting  her  life  on  the  line  for  her  friends.  stepping  up  to  the  younger  girl,  carter  smooths  her  hands  over  jane’s  shoulders  before  taking  her  into  a  tight  embrace.  and  when  jane  leans  up  to  press  a  kiss  to  her  cheek,  blue  eyes  begin  to  water.   ‘ you’re,  like,  the  bravest  kid  i  know, ’   carter  sniffles,  giving  one  last  comforting  squeeze  before  pulling  away  with  a  grin.   ‘ we’re  gonna  be  by  your  side  the  whole  time  you’re  in  there,  so . . .  don’t  worry,  okay?  we’re  not  gonna  let  anything  bad  happen  to  you, ’     @telekinel.
