event 01 ; strategy
Things continued to be strange and at least to Ava, unpredictable. At this point, she really wanted to leave and go back to her room. At least there, she didn't have to deal with monsters, be them the beasts or the people partaking in this game. Why the person in charge would even call it a game was beyond Ava, but all she knew is that she didn't want to take part. She had even gone as far as requesting help from the ghost who lived in her mind-- obviously, Wrathia didn't care, the phone in Ava's chest had not rang once.
"... Sometimes I wish you realized how serious these things are... "
Complaining to the co-inhabitant of her body wouldn't really do her much good in getting by unharmed though, so looking around, Ava figured planning was in order, so she tried to put together her odds of getting by without being injured in the process. Okay-- for one thing, it was cold outside, right? Surely in the winter months, the weather wasn't exactly pleasant, and people not expecting to be trapped in such weather, could be in a bit of a dilemma. Point one for Ava, the living volcano-- though, she didn't really see that much as a victory.
Who knew what kind of people were here? Scary ones, probably. She'd need to see if she could spot them. A tree should be able to help with that, right? All the trees here were tall, it would probably give her a good view of the area.
So, grabbing on to the lowest branch of the tree next to her, the objects she had gathered earlier rattling in her chest, she heaved herself up and grunted. Ava Ire, possessed by the ghost of an alien Queen, able to control magma and fire at will, able to throw three times her weight, unable to die-- such a girl was completely at a loss to climbing this god forsaken tree. It was tall, she was small, end of story. Grumbling again, she eyed the next branch and went all or nothing, throwing herself on it and barely catching on-- but managing to do so, even if she was now hanging.
To make things worse, there was already someone up there, looking at her with an expression she couldn't read. This strategy really hadn't worked, had it? If she got any more embarrassed, this tree probably wouldn't survive, so sighing, she craned her neck a little and wiggled her legs.
"U-Um... if you wouldn't mind... could you, u-uh, please help me up?"
"Well well Miss Frost, I didn't expect to see you in this city."
telepathize replied to your post:"You’re going to break me."
