👀favorite thing about the muse’s appearance?

okay so i'm kind of cheating for this one because it's technically a headcanon but i do think it's implied with her design so, her feathers <3 my gorgeous gorgeous bird girl.

📑 favorite part of your muse’s backstory? 

probably the last few years of her life and the events leading to her death. i'm quietly reworking some of it to better fit how she's evolved since i started writing her so it's going to end up a little different than what i have now, but the core beats stay the same: the embezzlement, the affair, the messy break-up. it all feeds directly into how i write her in the present day and i feel quite proud of how it's come together in a way that makes sense ( i hope ! )

📝 favorite headcanon for your muse? 

that she's a total low-grade stalker. god forbid a lonely woman with a deep-seated need for control memorise all her neighbours' routines and go though her partner's phone when they leave the room. 🙄

😩 hardest thing about writing the muse? 

trying to get her voice right, and making sure that the way she reacts to a given situation feels fitting for her while also allowing her some room to grow. odile's general toxic patterns with relationships, be they platonic or romantic, do not lend themselves well to long-term relationship development, so it's important to me that she always has enough development to keep moving forward while still feeling like herself — which is why so many times she has to get things wrong before she can get them right.

@televeyesing has such a great take on vox and I absolutely love their style of writing! I love the little insights into vox's head and the way they incorporate things like vox's dumb drawings and his repressed queerness into the narrative. 10/10 I loveeeeee.

I think the most fun plots I've had so far are with @hazbinned for our sleepover thread, and @sirserpentine for our sobriety one! I can really lean into the humour and have fun >:) it totally feels like playing!

I'd have to say @qveenofgluttony for the masquerade ball event - although I didn't partake this year, it was so nice seeing everyone joining in and having fun, and I revived I thread I had for it from last year!

I've answered this here BUT another thing I like and often feel proud of is my dialogue. and it absolutely stumps me sometimes - I will agonise over it and hate what I end up with. but there are times when it flows naturally or I come up with something I'm really happy with, and I always feel pretty proud of that.

"Yeah, because you handled the last ad campaign so well." Velvette scoffed, rolling her eyes. Vox was obviously more than competent when it came to selling whatever he wanted. The masses usually ate up the shit he was selling. But there were still times he let his old man age show in the marketing slogans. Ones that somehow slipped her notice before it hit the 'net.

"In case you fuckin' forgot, it was me that had the clean up that disaster of a campaign last time. Not too keen on doing it again." She would if she had to, of course. But she would complain about it.

Husk squints at the man like he’s trying to place a face from a half-forgotten commercial, then looks down at the bill slid on the counter. He takes it anyway, no hesitation, and tucks it into the register with a muted clack.

“For twenty?” he drawls. “Buddy, I don’t even remember half the people sober. You’re real safe.”

He gives him another once-over, eyes narrowing just a little in vague recognition. “…You got one of those faces I’ve seen on a screen somewhere though. Don’t make me work at rememberin’, yeah?”

He slides a glass across the bar. “So. You drinkin’ or just buyin’ my silence?”
