THAT ROSE. I love how the tentacles kind of ‘become’ her dress in a way. Gorgeous!

OH MY GOD snaggletooth Karkat is the best. I love the dark circles around his eyes, and his general expression.

Kanaya is bae. Gosh, I don’t even have words for how much I love this. I think my favorite part is the way her hair is all curly with wavy lines, like Tin Burton drew it. <3

Hah!! I love the colors and the expressions in all of these--the artist has a fantastic style; I love how ‘toothy’ everyone is. This one really takes the cake, though. KARKAT’S FACE.

THERE HE IS, MY PATRON TROLL. ...I’m not sure how I feel about this.

OH NO, THESE BABY SIGNLESSES ARE KILLING ME. Now I’m thinking about that fucking song from Dumbo that my mom used to sing to me when I was little, and I’m tearing up. UGH. I’M NOT CRYING,  YOU’RE CRYING, DON’t look at me

WHAT?? How are those plush things even POSSIBLE??? THEY’RE SO GOOD, I DON’T UNDERSTAND. I love god tier(?) Sollux’s little outfit, John is adorable and Karkat’s Homes Smell Ya Later is amazing, but I think my favorites are Terezi, Signless, and Gamzee. Their expressions are PERFECT, and Gamzee’s glow-in-the-dark stuff is stunning. I also really like the care that went into the photography! Looks like professional product shots.

Hi Nora! I've been curious about this for a while, and this double-album-review update gives me the perfect excuse to ask... what's your musical background? o:

Sure! Uhhh, let’s see. I’ve been playing piano for about twenty years, and I’d say my skill at it is the high end of mediocre. I’ve done brief stints playing keyboard in my high school jazz band and my friend’s brother’s Afro-Cuban jazz garage band. I picked up guitar and have been playing that about 8 years, but I’m pretty useless at it beyond rhythm. I think my hands are just too small for it, honestly. About four years ago I bought a cheap violin just to learn it, and I’m good enough at that to not make my ears bleed, and to occasionally accidentally stumble upon something that sounds nice. I also did musical theatre and choir in high school, and have been in a couple regional/national audition choirs. 

Listening to all these Homestuck albums has made me REALLY interested in learning to compose with computer software! Maybe one of these days I’ll get around to something like that, but I have no idea where to begin! :)a

Dylan Moran can make jokes that can sometimes approach the border of noxious, but he does seem to make an effort to "punch up" with them, for instance when he makes jokes about like masculinity vs femininity shit he still seems to acknowledge that women are dealing with shit on a whole other level from men. He also makes me laugh till my sides ache sometimes so
