@televisionrotsyourbrain replied to your post “"...Pets and princesses.....Okay everyone's just...”:
"Does this mean you'll let me out of the room now?"
"How are those relevant- Never mind. No. The rooms for your own good,"
"What's his problem?"
@televisionrotsyourbrain ⧐ [COMFORT]: sender cups a distressed receiver's face in their hands and steadies them by resting their foreheads together. (the tides have turned lol) REASONS TO CUP A FACE ASKS.
This... is not what Vito should be doing.
Guilt, broiling so deeply within him whenever he sees the other, is pervasive and sinister. Guilt for things that he himself is not even responsible for. But he feels it - every time he looks at the other's face and is presented with a near innocence that he does not know what to do with. At times, it becomes overwhelming. Sending him spiraling. Thinking - briefly - of the moment when Vox had taken vengeance on Vito's behalf.
For what his other self had done.
For what he had full capacity to do.
Alastor does not often surrender to the panic and frustration, nor the crippling reality of this multi-verse paradoxical arrangement which poses two paths before him at all times. But on this day, seeing Vito's face again, it has brought him significant grief, struggling between apologizing for something he has not even done and knowing that he cannot undo what has transpired. Breathing hard and heavy - there is no reversing of time; of the damage done to Vito and what he must now do to regain his independence, if that is even possible.
He is sorry. Not piteous. But sorry, reaching up to clutch at his own chest as if the very weight of his alternate's transgressions can be felt upon his shoulders - how can he be trusted when all know what he is capable of...?
His breath stutters to a halt when those hands come up to frame his face, almost blanching entirely from the act, but not given enough time to before their heads are pressed together. Alastor can feel the warmth of that screen; the slight, tickling fuzz of static. And it is nothing but comfort in the face of impending sorrow.
Alastor's own hands rise to gently wrap claws around Vito's wrists, holding onto them for some semblance of purchase.
And his eyes close, eventually, breathing even as he focuses on bringing himself down from the panicked high.
Soothed.
He does not deserve it.
But he will take the grace.

QT is relatively new to hell, and I gotta say; not loving it so far.
They had wandered from place to place, ducking and covering, trying to stay the hell away from most everyone, but more and more they were trying real damn hard to find any-fucking-place without the incessant buzzing in their ears.
Being a tiger wasn't enough, had to have some robot shit happening too! Largely only visible in their glowing eyes, but they could also fucking hear it. Like they had a mistuned radio in their head that couldn't catch a reliable signal.
It seemed to occasionally get quieter. Occasionally it turns into words or music. Currently they were following the music, walking back and forth down a few blocks of street, tilting their head this way and that, popping on their tiptoes and even climbing a little ways up onto a windowsill if nobody seemed to be looking. Anything to get a moment of peace.
@televisionrotsyourbrain replied to your post:
"What kinda shark?" That got his attention!
Proto looked over at the other TV head silently before looking into the tank that was provided along with the shark.
"A nurse shark... a very pretty docile shark." He smiled as he peered into the tank as the shark sat comfortably at the bottom of the tank. "Uh... you can come look at them..." He never owned a shark before, but he was sure that sharing them to look at was fine.
say in the heaven ending, hypothetically, what would happen to Vox if he got himself out of heaven like Velvette did? Would his mind break again upon falling? Or would it be better to just wait til hell and heaven open free passage for people who want to visit loved ones?
After he gets settled, a part of Vox realizes that Velvette's probably dead. She made so many enemies during her rise to power as Hell's top overlord and there's no way she would've stayed at the hotel once he was gone; she blamed it for Val's death and her pride wouldn't allow her to just hide there for the rest of eternity. He avoids getting confirmation one way or the other for as long as he can, hoping that she's still out there, but he eventually finds out that, yes, she was killed after he ascended. He spends the next several months self-isolating and wallowing in overwhelming feelings of grief and guilt.
Vox stays in Heaven out of a sense of obligation– Velvette literally spent decades protecting and caring for him, he can't throw away all her hard work, regardless of how much he doesn't wanna be there– but there's a small, selfish part of him that's terrified that, if he did fall, he'd revert back to how he was before Heaven (mostly) "fixed" him. Losing everything that makes him him for a third time... he's can't bring himself to do that. It makes him feel like a coward.
@televisionrotsyourbrain whispered a line !! "𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒" 𝐋𝐘𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 ( accepting! ) ❛ how'd things get so out of place? ❜
The words came as a surprise. So used to a more lost sense in Vox's language, after all. Ever since he started staying at the hotel, she often found herself worried about him. But Alastor always assured her that things were fine, and she had little other choice but to believe him.
❛ I don't ... I don't know. I don't know what you mean. ❜
A half - truth. She wasn't sure exactly how he meant it. Did he mean literally? Referring to a mess? Or was she hopeful enough to think he was pondering something else, that she might get some answers, too?
❛ Can you be more specific, Vox? ❜
A gentle tone, but urging him to answer.
