Tellah, Great Sage Illustrator: Ono Tako
FF4 has a lot of "fake deaths" (and i feel like most of them are just for technical "can't have more than 5 guys in the party haha" reasons) but I find it interesting that Tellah is the only one to die for real, and it makes sense to me. His whole character is about vengeance at all cost, he knew what was coming for him. In that way he is a bit of a "counter" to Cecil, who rejected the ability to have a rush of strong dark powers at the cost of his life force to become a paladin. Cecil listened to the Mysidian elder, Tellah didn't. if Cecil remained a Dark knight, even if he somehow found a way out of Mysidia by himself, he probably would have either ended up as a empty shell of himself or...as some dead guy in some dungeon.
I find it interesting that ff4 is...not actually just about dark vs light, but about forgiveness. It's a strong theme in ff4. Cecil had to learn to be forgiven, to *accept* forgiveness, and then to forgive. To forgive Golbez, and to..if not to forgive himself, then at least to not let his past mistake from shaping his future, whether other people forgive him or not (some mages in Mysidia are still angry). Tellah was able to accept Edward in the end, but was not able to let go of his burning hatred, it is what drove him to seek Meteor and use it aginst Golbez. Maybe he thought that he was old anyways and had nothing else to loose. Edge was also powered by anger (against Rubicante) but didn't do so in a self destructive way (maybe he did learn from his first ass kicking from Rubicante)
I also like that Golbez gets to live in order to be forgiven, so did Kain (even if they still have some work to do to forgive themselve, can't do that if you're dead). Death =/= Redemption and Redemption =/= Death, at least not always
Last piece of this series with all the characters here!
But I admit, the one who gets credit for rendering and adding everyone was @gremlinsbooty, some blurry, but I appreciate the effort she put in, she is also responsible for the beautiful digital sets you saw throughout this series, I wouldn't have done this without you bestie!
Motivational Tellah I drew at work. Sparkle off its thursday remember to cast meteor at your enemies ⚡️⚡️⚡️

A compilation of some of the ff4 party members since drawing comics are hard. I'll try and post more or at least weekly since I like posting art.
