Just to clarify: the pain I've had for two weeks is the reason I went to get checked, not the result of my self inflicted smear. But now on top of that I have a stabbing pain every time I use the bathroom.
I've learned today that in Ontario, regular gynos are only referred to u if you have an ongoing issue or ur pregnant, but what really threw me off is that he said they flat out can't do a pap smear unless I was sexually active. That IS bogus, I'm 24.
I had to return to him after dealing with a really insensitive lady doctor at another clinic who did her best to traumatize me during my first visit. He's honestly really helpful & compassionate when it's about mental health but the moment vaginal health comes into play he's got his hands tied or something??? I think because he gets a lot of very religious patients in the area and he's afraid of making me not viable for marriage or something. That's still a very dangerous policy to have & I think he's hiding the real policy because he sees my hijab and doesn't want to cause a problem. My mom also told me today that its true that hymens do get broken but I think I'm surrounded by people who are just inflicting pain on women with their bad knowledge.
I'm going to go for a follow up when they finish the test & get serious with him
Thank u for your advice, I'm not gonna let this rest
