By request, here is a photo side by side of Rhodochrosite and Rhodonite. These two can often be confused for one another. Several years ago I recall hearing a fun little trick to help tell these two crystals apart. Think of RhodoNITE, with black in it like the night. While not all Rhodonite has the black inclusions and even there is some lighter pink Rhodonite, it is still a fun way to help remember the difference between the crystals.
