I was sexually abused by 2 female family members, and my father. I grew up in a home with my three sisters. We seemed like a happy family until at age 9, I remember my dad always going into my twin sister’s room. They were not my father's children, but he raised them since they were two. I didn't understand why my father was so angry, aggressive, and abusive to my mother and sisters. One day I caught a glimpse of my sisters naked, laying in the bed. My father had been raping them. I never saw him rape my other sister, his blood child, but I heard he attempted to. When my sisters turned 18 and they all left home, I was left alone to encounter the abuse from my father. I started running away at 14. My parents didn't even know that I had 2 female cousins, who would always touch me. The more I ran away, I began to get raped a lot. At 15, I turned my first trick, got pregnant, and dropped out of school. I didn't see much left for me to do, but to be a person of the street. My parents had a drug addiction. Our family members didn't believe what we would say. My sister and I were left to fend for ourselves. I have never been able to keep a job. Every relationship I get in, is always about sex, abuse, drugs, and money. My children are affected by my life, my path. Today at the age of 42, I'm still trying to get it together. I have no support system. If you ask me, I still hide behind my pain. I still fear my father. I have only confronted one family member in my life, and that was recently to explain to her why I became lesbian. Trying to fix me hasn't been easy. I recently married January 8th 2020. I have been married numerous times, and I'm praying that this marriage is the marriage that works. This is the first time I’ve had happiness and peace. I try to be honest as much as possible, in everything that I do, because I have faced challenges that I feel should have taken me out. I try so hard to push forward. #TellSomebody Child molesters, please stop. Parents, talk with your children.
