Temari just got back handed all the way into a fucking tree by her brother right before he turned her into the thing that terrifies her the most.

Despite this, Temari still cries out for Gaara when she hears him scream from a blow dealt by Sasuke. 

Temari is terrified of her brother, she doesn’t understand her brother, but I believe she still loves him as much as any big sister could. Maybe Temari feels even a little responsible for the way he turned out, I bet she feels beats herself up over it constantly even though she wasn’t really the one to blame. It’s hard to stand up to the kazekage, maybe even impossible if he is your father.

I think Temari loves him, but I think it is a painful kind of love.

this has gotta be the saddest thing to me. it honestly breaks my heart. No, Sasuke is not the one who is scared of Gaara...it’s his sister.

what makes this all the more heartbreaking is that Temari is the big sister. She’s tough and spunky. But in this shot she looks like a terrified little girl. and that honestly makes me want to cry.

Honestly, that is why these two are so perfect for each other. Shikamaru is the laziest bum I have ever seen, and Temari has such spunk. I think this pair was doomed to fall in love from the start since they both quite honestly just complete one another.
