A Fresh Start w/ @temaritessen

It was hard not to be able to look out the window and not smile at the peaceful blue skies and beams of sunshine bathing the village in warmth. It was what Deidara had to look forward to now as he gazed around his new home. Having made the citizenship offical yesterday, and after so much trail and litigation, he was offically a villager in the Leaf.

Stepping outside the Hokage's office to bask in the air, his eyes gazed around at the denizens, them going about their day peacefully.

He didn't know exactly what his next plan of action was; all he knew what that he was more then excited.

As he curiously inspected the village streets, he spotted a female nearby, her ponytail pattern unique. Feeling a twinge braver then usual, he gave the other a gentle tap on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, would you happen t-..." His voice trailed off as he got a good look at this girl's face. He swore it looked familiar...

He wasn't sure what he expected upon agreeing to give Temari a Chunin Exam rematch, but at this point in time, he'd gladly take back that decision.

About 95% of this "fight" was Shikamaru running and hiding, trying to figure out just how he was going to avoid being launched into orbit by that fan of hers.

He could help her footsteps coming closer, knowing she was nearby and ready to deal the final blow.

"...You know, if you kill me, then it wouldn't be good for your future." He joked, monotone voice adding a sense of defeat in his tone.

It was late. The moon high in the sky, waning, over the desert as the wind kicked up curtains of sand near the horizon. Sasuke never became accustomed to the temperature nor the land. The way sand clung to his black cloak or how unbearably hot it became. It forced him into an alternative outfit, one with thin fabric and light coverage, enough to protect him from the sun without beating him down into the dirt with his own sweat. Ever since his transfer, he did not deviate from his night schedule. Working the long hours no one else usually did, leaving him alone for an extended period. But, this was better. Better than being barred from his home at all, months at a time. He had a home here, one with neighbors, while weary of him, actually remembered his face and invited him to dinner sometimes. It felt somewhat normal. At least, a mild form of normalcy he cannot get elsewhere. Those were a few minor perks of the job. That and whenever he walked into the office late at night, he would cover his Kazekage’s shoulders with a blanket when she slept at her desk, much like he had to do now.  There was something peaceful to her when she slept, lacking the usual fight she had when she was awake. Though, it was quite late and he was certain she had been here for hours. She would be miserable in the morning if he did not wake her. A soft push on her shoulder as he lowered himself to whisper,” Temari.”

Shikaku had never been so relieved to step foot into his home. It had been a very long and tedious day in the office and he couldn’t wait for the day to be over.

It was close to midnight and Shikaku quietly made his way into the kitchen in the hopes that Yoshino had left him something to eat.

He wasn’t expecting to see Temari sitting at the kitchen table.

Perhaps this travel out so far into the Land of Wind wasn’t a good idea.  More or less him traveling to Sunagakure was far from a good idea, but there he was within the walls of the village with a black cloak on and head hooded to keep his hair from view.  His reason there was a simple one.  A mere visit into an old workshop along with a visit into the cemetery to pay respects...? no, it was just a simple visit and a way to confirm something for himself.  A bag of old belongings rested next to him as he was knelt by the grave site of Sunagakure’s former elder, Chiyo.  This had been a visit he was contemplating on considering he was ‘given’ this extra time while she gave away hers some time ago to the current Kazekage.  A technique that could... well, it was real.

“A technique that could breathe life into even a puppet that the cost of one’s own.  Why... did you develop a technique that would actually kill you? Such experimental procedures for someone without any proper testings.  Granted that I’m one to talk, but my experiments were for myself and only for myself.  I had nothing to lose and no one to miss me in the end.  Damn hag,” he muttered to himself as he would eventually sit himself down to contemplate his next move from here on.  A part of him wondered of her scrolls containing her ten fabled puppets.  Strong edition to his collection, but he was more interested in the inner-workings within.  After that fateful day, he was curious to what made the original ten puppets so spectacular... Such thoughts leaving him vulnerable to anyone approaching.

The sky had been grey and gloomy the entire day and Sakura could feel the threat of a thunder storm looming. She didn’t really mind it - except for the fact that the rain started pouring down just when she was on her way back home from the hospital. A heavy, sudden downpour that lifted petrichor and saw many of people out and about in the village scrambling from shelter - Sakura included. 

She ran into a tea house, the closest building to her, and immediately found herself apologizing for bumping into someone in her hurry. After settling down, Sakura realized it was Temari who she had bumped into and she smiled, despite her wet hair and clothes. 

“Temari-san, you’re back! It’s good to see you,” Sakura greeted and looked around. “Would you join me for tea while we wait for the rain to let up?”
