"Tembe Ciel de Case"
Wanted to revisit a Ciel de Case, traditional for the Wayana people (French Guiana amerindians), in a Tembe (Bushinengue) style and color. The Ciel de Case, also called Maluwana, it's a decorative piece that is located at the top of the community carbet (hut, called tukusipan) and represents aquatic animals and monsters, it is used for protection against animals and bad spirits. Hand painted in 80cm diameter wood plate with acrylic colors.
