Donan Diba Retrieval Arc P5: Temegu VS Tayuya
Temegu should’ve been feeling guilty about leaving Alruto to fight that cute girl Kimimaro, but mostly Temegu was feeling bitter. Everyone got to fight these cute girls for Donan Diba but Temegu was stuck fighting this ginger boy with a goddamn tuba around his waist. She couldn’t believe it at first. She was like, wow, is this some sort of elaborate prank Alruto is pulling on me? A gross boy with a tuba? But no. It wasn’t. Alruto wasn’t wise enough to put this much effort into something, Makura was in the hospital, and Samsuke was too busy fawning over Kakashi’s dick so neither of her teammates could’ve helped her.
And now Temegu was here. Standing a good distance away from Tayuya, who hadn’t even blown into it. He probably couldn’t even play it. Temegu was tired already. Not only did Temegu not know what the fuck Tayuya’s abilities were using that tuba, but Tayuya had already seen her use her sleep-casting jutsu (somehow), and it’s really easy to avoid when you know it’s coming.
“You pests are pretty stupid… putting all this effort into saving Donan Diba. What’s she even got? She’s an average ninja and she’s got some decent Kekei genkai… you’re wasting your time and lives on her.”
“Okay, first off,” Temegu raised her eyebrows at this putrid boy, “Donan Diba is an angel, and I know that ANY of squad would put their lives on the line to save her and make her realize she’s making a bad mistake. Secondly, I am positive that none of my friends have lost their lives because they’re all strong and smart and I trust them all.”
Tayuya didn’t respond, he just smirked and blew really hard into his tuba. Suddenly, three giants popped up behind him. “You shouldn’t underestimate my friends, either.”
“Aw geez,” Temegu felt her long legs get a little wobbly at the sight of these grotesque monster things.
A monster took a swung at poor dear Temegu, and she wasn’t quick enough to avoid it. She was slammed into nearby branches and got scraped up pretty good, but was able to get on her feet again.
“So this is his melody of death… a jazzy tune on a Tuba…”
The other two monsters jumped towards Temegu, who was able to evade in time to take a rough landing on a nearby branch.
“Okay,” Temegu thought out loud, “as long as he toots away on his tuba… These monsters will fight for him.”
Temegu had to keep evading these bigass monsters, not getting any time to rest. Dodge, substitution jutsu, dodge… gosh, she just wanted to rest her feet.
“I GET IT… YOU CONTROL THE BIG PEOPLE WITH YOUR TUBA…”
Tayuya stopped playing for a moment, responding to Temegu, “just because you figure out how I control them doesn’t mean you can stop them.” Tayuya began playing again, but the tune was less Jazzy and more haunting, if that makes sense on a Tuba.
The giants stopped, and Temegu was anticipating a change in the pace of a battle. At the same time, they all opened their mouths, ghost-like creatures crawling out of their throats. They crept and stretched through the trees, and when one found Temegu, they took a big bite of her arm before she was able to escape.
Temegu let out and anime scream and looked at her arm, expecting to see blood. But there was none. The chakra ghosts ate at her energy, not her physical form. Before one could get another bite, she crept deeper into the shadows. Even if Tayuya couldn’t see her from this distance, she was too far away to cast her sleep-jutsu or have accurate aim with her nightmare jutsu. However, she wasn’t too far away from the giants.
“Ninja art: Conscious Nightmare!” Temegu sent her jutsu at one of the three giants, causing it to thrash about. Temegu used this opportunity to approach Tayuya further, watching as he sent his other two giants to restrain the one inflicted with nightmares. The two giants still in Tayuya’s control were now easy prey for Temegu, and she was able to send them both into hysteria. She watched them smash at trees, getting closer and closer to Tayuya who was still desperately playing his Tuba. Finally, he was forced to dispel the summoning, and the giants vanished into smoke.
Temegu made her move. She sprung at Tayuya from behind, and shoved her teddy bear straight down the tube of his Tuba. Tayuya, shocked, took a big breath and tried to blow the bear, and Temegu’s arm, out of the tuba. Temegu stayed strong even though she had no upper body strength. She kept her arm deep in that tuba, trying to mimic 100100’s fisting techniques.
Tayuya released his mouth, and smiled straight at Temegu, who made sure not to budge because she was prepared for any funny business. Tayuya’s curse seal spread all across his face, his skin turned red, and he grew horns. Temegu couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She knew boys had the devil inside them.
With a deep breath, Tayuya began blowing in the tuba again, this time, with a stronger force. Temegu held on dearly to the tuba and the bear, but her feet couldn’t stay planted and she was blown away to a nearby tree, teddy bear still in hand.
Tayuya played a sultry tune, and everything around Temegu started blurring. She tried throwing the bear back at Tayuya, but his musical genjutsu had her perception whacked out so the bear had clung on to a branch about 15 feet away from where Temegu had intended it to land. Temegu fell to her knees and covered her ears with her hands. She hated jazz. She wanted to listen to Nicki’s sweet raps again.
Temegu felt the environment around her change. Everything appeared red, and all she could hear was shitty tuba playing. She felt needles through her body, and her skin melt, but she couldn’t move. She couldn’t stop. She was stuck.
And then, suddenly, she wasn’t. The forest she was in took shape again, the tuba playing stopped, she heard a crack, and she felt a rumble. Tayuya was in a crater, and standing over his body was 100-100, fists clenched, wearing headphones and blasting Superbass so loud Megu could hear it from the tree branch she was resting on.
“100-100!” Temegu called down, and 100-100 crushed the disposable ipod in her hand and took off her headphones.
“Temegu! Are you okay?” 100100 asked, concerned for her precious, angelic teammate.
“Yes, thank you for saving me!”
“Of course, I would do anything to protect a sweet damsel such as yourself. But I’m shocked you got yourself in this situation, I’ve warned you so clearly, many times. Don’t talk to boys. They are awful.”
