Assuming that Tempest and Glitter eventually settle down and tie the knot together, where do you think they would stand on the subject of kids?
Glitter strikes me as the kind of girl who dreams about having little ones of her own to raise someday.
Whereas Tempest gives off the vibe of someone who can barely stand being around members of her own age demographic, let alone kids.
I have this specific scenario in my head of Glitter causally dropping hints to her one day (“Wow Fizzy, you’re so gentle and nurturing when you need to be. I bet you’d make a great mother.”) and Tempest just immediately hyperventilating because of it.
Maybe someday, after months and years of slowly healing herself and taking stock of what she values in life, Tempest would feel strongly enough to have kids with Glitter, becoming the radically loving and accepting authority figure that she wishes she could have had back in her own childhood.
Or maybe they’d just be one of those lesbian couples that adopts like dozens of pets/plants instead.
Oh, it's ddeeeefinitely something I've thought of. The fact that Dropsy already takes care of animals so often is telling that she enjoys nurturing and caring for other things! But her profession does point her as someone that is aware of how tough of a responsibility caring for a child is.
Tempest being so cut off from so many things that tie her to any warmth means she would have a looot of aprehension I'm sure. No doubts on Dropsy, but certainly doubts on herself. Can someone this battle hardened, with so much baggage, possibly be good to a kid?
Plus lets face it she probably is not very good with kids even if the average foal would think she's cool as hell.
Cadance being nearby does mean they'd probs be pushed into growing closer and closer, but who knows if the aggressive love approach would work on tempest, heh.
I can imagine a kind of god of war situation happening with Tempest where she is afraid to even speak to her child, to have her child know the sound of her voice. Now, a story of the downfall of Equestria through the perspective of Tempest caring for their kid after the tragic demise of Glitter Drops sounds like a damn emotional and cool one to tell 😫😫and saaad.
In summation, I think very much leaning towards probs not on the kids department, but possible. The apprehension would make it very narratively compelling for sure.
Anyways I just drew this for my video essay, fortuitous timing.
