Elevators.
There's a story behind it and I'm going to tell it.
Okay, so I was with my mom and she was taking me into her work because she was like, "eh, fuck it." (She works in a federal hospital, mind you) And there was this elevator that the people who deal with the products that have been shipped in...and it was just a cage around it, no solid walls or anything like that, just a terrifying cage thing. It was super rickety and shook and made horrible noises. Ever since, I have been so afraid of elevators. I had to get on one by myself when my mom went for her MS because I left my water in the car like an idiot. These elevators are old and I have never trusted them. So there I was standing perfectly in the center because (even though I know it's irrational thinking) I felt like if I moved one way or the other it would snap and I would die. Luckily, on the way back up, there were other people and I could cling to the railing on the side.
So yeah...I hate elevators...
