Temple Street ran north of Grosvenor Street, up to Altrincham Street, but was lost in the 1960s when Chorlton-on-Medlock was cleared, much like its westerly neighbour, Hulme, with only the odd pub left standing, pointing to the past, amid the modern council housing.
