Shooting animals particularly cows, bulls, elephants, hens, roasters, dogs, parrots, cats, mynas, crows inside the temple promises is common. I shot this young bull inside the Shri.Natraja Temple, Chidambaram when I visited with my full time diploma students on a photography tour. I find there's a lot of connection between bull and hindu temple architecture. In fact the Nandi is a representation of a bull that you can see in all hindu temples. I like the color of the bull contrasting with the temple in the background. A low angle justifies the lying down position of the bull. When I sat down to get the low angle, the bull surprisingly started looking into my camera and posed for a photo! Look at its attentive ears and eyes. I simply love the body language of the bull! Bottom line: Get close to domestic animals and try some odd angles to include appropriate background for connections. Learn to see the world around series Learn the Art of seeing.
